EPT Sealer

EPT (Ethylene-propylene terpolymer) Sealers tm are joint/space filling materials suitable for use in various applications including automobiles, buildings and industrial equipment. They are manufactured by forming a compound of EPDM synthetic rubber. They can be used for waterproofing, dust sealing, vibration control and acoustical or thermal insulation. Due to their synthetic rubber construction, EPT Sealers tm show excellent resistance to weathering and because they are foamed products they compress easily and are very lightweight. Various adhesives can be bonded to the products, making them compatible with almost any application.
EPT Sealer tm is a trademark of Permacel.

Common Applications:

  • Weather stripping for automotive glass applications
  • Gasketing for acoustical/speaker mounts
  • Sealing exterior lighting (headlights/tail lamps)
  • HVAC/Air handling system seals and thermal insulation
  • Vibration isolators for interior automotive components

Density: 0.8-0.16 gm/cm3
50% Compressions: 40-140 gm/cm2
Tensile Strength: 0.5 kg/cm2 minimum
Elongation: 300% minimum
