Legetolex™

Legetolex is a lightweight damping material used for reducing vibration. This material is manufactured with a butyl adhesive layer that is suitable for most applications It is so lightweight that it can float on water. This material offers stable damping characteristics over a wide range of temperature. Legetolex is fabricated with an adhesive layer so that no other adhesive is required for application.

Common applications for Legetolex:

• Vibration damping in electrical appliances
• Automated office equipment
• Soundproofing in automobiles and commercial vehicles

Nitohard^®

Nitohard is a foamed epoxy resin reinforcing/damping material that is lightweight and very strong. Its unique structure enhances the characteristics of vibration damping, thermal insulation and soundproofing. The foam cures from two to three times its original thickness on a paint drying line. The use of Nitohard allows for the reinforcements of automobile body panels while reducing their weight.

Common applications for Nitohard:

• Reinforcing steel body panels for automobiles, rail cars, containers, etc.
• Vibration damping and structural reinforcement of household appliances.
• Thickness reduction of steel panels where weight is a concern.
• Thermal insulation
